DIY Organic Apple Cider Vinegar Toner

Toning is a great way to restore the pH of the skin after washing. It can also help to remove the excess oils, dirt and make-up your cleanser might miss.

My favorite store bought toners are the Mario Badescu Facial Spray and the Shea Moisture Problem Skin Toner. But, when I don't reach for those, I use my DIY Organic ACV toner.

Apple Cider Vinegar has tons of benefits for the skin and body! I use it in my natural hair routine and there's even ACV in my favorite detox drink.

Benefits of using an ACV toner:

  • Balances the pH of the skin

  • Improves acne scaring

  • Helps to minimize pores

The Recipe is Simple

1 Part Apple Cider Vinegar (Raw Unfiltered is the best to use)

2 Parts Distilled or Filtered Water

Mix the ingredients in a spray bottle or jar and shake well

Use a cotton pad to apply your toner after your wash routine. Let it dry before applying your moisturizer. ACV does has a very distinct smell, but it doesn't linger after you apply the toner.

You should store your toner in a cool dry place. I like to refrigerate mine because the shock of the cold helps to reduce my pores even more. I use a 2.4oz spray bottle to mix and store my toner. It usually lasts for about a month.
