Recycled Jewelry Rack

I love costume jewelry! It's inexpensive and the right piece can set your outfit off. Until now, I've used a tupperware container to keep my jewelry in. I'm not ashamed, but don't judge me either.

As I was cleaning the kitchen, I stumbled upon my daughter's old Philips Avent Drying Rack. Once I saw it, I instantly thought: I can repurpose this.

I quickly reassembled the pieces, leaving off one of the drying hangers. I placed a small glass bowl, that I got from the dollar tree, on one end. In there, I keep stud earrings, small rings and earring backs - you can never have too many of those.

I used the other hangers for large hoop earrings, bracelets and chunky statement necklaces. On the bottom I lay larger earnings, my watch and my favorite perfume.

Let me tell you, this rack makes it so much easier to access my jewelry. My necklaces aren't tangled and I can see everything. So, the moral of the story is...use that old baby stuff.

Here are few of my favorite pieces

Hoop earrings are a must-have! They're classic and they go with everything! I'm always picking-up a new pair! I buy my basic hoops from my local beauty supply store. They're $1 and come in different sizes. I love studded and textured hoops too. For fancier ones, I go to Burlington. They sell Guess, BeBe, Rampage and other brands for cheap.

For larger statement necklaces like this, I go to New York & Company-but only when there's a sale. Their jewelry is kinda expensive, so if it's not buy one-get one free or half off, I usually don't shop there.

This necklace is from New York & Company too. I love it, for obvious reasons...
