After my daughter was born, the labor and delivery unit gave me a care package that included a lavender midst spray, sleeping mask and a few other toiletries. In recent weeks I've started to use the lavender midst on our bedsheets and pillows. Using this midst at night helps me to relax and it also helps to signal bedtime for my daughter. After I ran out, I decided to make my own.
Lavender is an herb that's been proven to help with anxiety, nervousness, stress and insomnia. It's also great for circulation and hair loss.
Since I use lavender in an oil mixture for my hair, I already had some at home.
Most of the other tools and ingredients I had at home as well. Here's what you'll need:

I know some of you may have questions about the alcohol, but adding it to the midst keeps the oil and water combined. You only use a small amount and it won't be harmful to you or your linen. If you don't want to use alcohol, you can also use witch hazel.
