DIY Kids Birthday Gift Basket

If you’re anything like me, you have lots of friends with kids. And you know what that means, lots of birthday parties and celebrations. It can get pretty expensive to buy presents for all of these events. Here’s an inexpensive way to give an awesome gift without breaking the bank.

First, go to the Dollar spot at Target or the $0.99 store and pick out items that you want. This gift idea is best suitable for kids between the ages of 5 and 10. Note: (Each item featured below was $1 each)

Second, buy a cellophane bag, a gift tag and a bow. This shouldn’t cost you more than $4. Next, place all the items in a basket, bin or in a sand bucket.

Finally, place the basket into the cellophane bag. Use clear tape to secure any loose ends of the bag, tie the bow and add a card. I added some balloons (optional) because I had a helium tank kit from a previous event laying around the house.

The birthday boy/girl will love this gift! And the best part is that it only cost $15 to make.
