DIY Whipped Shea Butter


Fall and winter is upon us and that means we need to take extra care of our skin. A great body butter will help to keep skin moisturized and protected during the colder months.

Whipped Shea Butter is an all-natural moisturizer that can be used on the skin and hair.

Here’s a quick and easy recipe:


You will need:

  • Bowl

  • Coconut Oil

  • Container

  • Fork

  • Lavender Oil

  • Mixer

  • Shea Butter

  • Spoon

  • Sweet Almond Oil

Recipe

-Place 8oz of raw shea butter that is room temperature into a large bowl.

-Use a fork to separate and mash shea butter until mostly separated.

-Using a mixer, combine shea butter with 1 TBS of Almond Oil and 1 TBS of Coconut Oil.

-Mix until fluffy and fully combined. (About 6-8 minutes)

-Add in 8-10 drops of lavender oil.

-Combine with mixer. (About 1-2 minutes)

-Spoon or pipe mixture into your favorite container

Store in a cool-dry place. Use within 2 months.
