Drinking a smoothie is a great post workout meal. The peanut butter-banana smoothie is easy to make, has an amazing taste and is loaded with ingredients that support your bones and muscles.
Health benefits of the ingredients:
-Almond Milk is supplemented with vitamin A, D and B-12; therefore it helps to maintain a healthy immune system and supports blood cell formation.
-Peanut Butter is loaded with protein which is great for healthy bones and muscles.
-Spinach has lots of vitamins in it- such as vitamin K (good for your blood), vitamin A (good for your immune system) and magnesium (supports bone health and blood pressure).
-Bananas provide the body with potassium which is great for muscle health.
1 cup of almond milk (you can substitute with cow or soy milk)
¼ cup of peanut butter
1 large hand full of baby spinach
1 whole banana
Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until fully combined. Enjoy!
